This article explores the idea of 'tragic festival' advanced by Henri Lefebvre in his 1965 book La Proclamation de la Commune and related texts from 1960s 70s. It contextualises vision as a violent revolutionary festival terms explorations tragedy earlier studies Nietzsche Pascal, while problematising link between everyday life, well transition (and its failure).
